About NW Fly Fishing Expo

Sponsored by...
The Oregon Council of Fly Fishers International, Inc. A Non-profit Organization Event Located at the Linn County Expo Center, Albany, Oregon.

The first Northwest Fly Tyer Expo was held in Eugene Oregon in 1989. Its purpose was to gather fly tyers together to tie flies and learn from each other. The popularity took on a life of its own and grew so popular that the venue required a move to a larger facility. In 2007 The Northwest Expo was moved to the Linn County Expo Center in Albany, Oregon. With this move, the fly fishing education part of the expo was added.

Thirteen Northwest Expos later in the new facility, the event has grown into serving a large part of the west with exhibitors selling and teaching how to use the products to support fly fishing. Fly Tying, Fly Fishing, Casting, Youth, and Conservation Education are all a big part of this event.

This event is open to the public as the total package to learn about fly fishing. The social, educational, and networking aspect of this event caters to families, youth, and individuals that are interested in the sport.
